My Experience

Professional Writing

2024 - Present

Content Specialist

Indiana University

I always wanted to return to higher education — to teach or to write. Well, here I am! Working with IU's several campuses and internal teams, I'm trusted to deliver high-quality, engaging writing that reaches current and prospective students, faculty and staff, alumni and international communities. Deliverables include viewbooks, articles, email campaigns, brochures and more.

2021 - 2024

Writer

CVR

No day in advertising is the same. My clients and coworkers trusted me to deliver consistently engaging and error-free copy for a variety for mediums, including articles, social media, radio spots, commercials, web and email marketing.

Notable clients: Allison Transmission, Spot, dormakaba, LIFT Academy, FSSA, Shiel Sexton

2020 - 2021

Content Specialist
BLASTmedia

Ghostwriting is essentially inhabiting the mindset of someone else, ensuring their message, tone and personality come out in each and every article. My clients consisted of strictly B2B SaaS companies, meaning a majority of my writing touched on aspects of AI, tech stacks, CRM softwares, AI and chatbots, and plenty of other tech-y verticals.

Notable clients: Phenom, LogicGate, Credly, Moz

2019 - 2020

Contract Technical Writer
Qumulex

As my introduction to B2B SaaS — including writing technical documentation, internal style guides and marketing suggestions — Qumulex showed me the vast world of technology marketing that I continue to write for today.

2018 - 2020

Instructor of Record
University of Dayton

Though academia wasn't what I ended up in (until 2024), having the experience of teaching nearly 200 students for three semesters was unforgettable. From learning about collaboration through my students to staying up all night grading papers, I still bring the lessons lecturing taught me to my professional work.

Education

2018 - 2020

Master of Arts — Rhetoric & Professional Writing
University of Dayton

Obtaining my master's degree while also developing and teaching my own English 200-level course was exhausting, stressful and two of my best years.

2014 - 2018

Bachelor of Arts — Rhetoric & Professional Writing
University of Dayton

In the 3rd grade, if you aced a practice spelling test, you didn't have to take the real test...I had to take only one spelling test. From there, I always knew English was an option for me after high school. It stuck and here I am!
